Bell peppers come in yellow, orange, green, red, white and even purple. Pick one or combine them… But if we have to declare one winner then it has to be…. the RED one! No doubt. Compared to a green one, a red bell pepper provides you with twice as much vitamin C. They have the sweetest taste too.
Peppers stay crunchy if you slice them, so it’s a great snack in a lunchbox or for dipping in a yogurt sauce.
WHAT MAKES BELL PEPPER SPECIAL?
Since bell peppers don’t grow a label, here are some nutritional highlights: they contain a lot of fiber and an amazing amount of vitamin C (especially the red ones). Bell peppers are a good source of vitamin A, E B6 and folate. And the lycopene keeps your cells in shape.
